Can PC with rs-485 bus directly controlling RX-64?

I have a computer with RS-485 connector. Can I control Dynamixel RX-64 directly from my computer?

For now, I just have information to control RX-64 from PC by USB2DYNAMIXEL that I think USB2DYNAMIXEL just convert from USB to Serial RS-485, so I think it was possible if I directly control my RX-64 from my PC. But I don't have the program such USB2DYNAMIXEL has it.Anyone can help me?please...

Hi Thariq,

 

You can drive not only the USB2Dynamixel, but also the CM-2+ and CM-700.

Even if you are using another comanpies usb2serial product, as long as the regulated packets and voltage are used.

BUT, some products do not support communication speed and this may cause problems.

We recommend using the USB2Dynamixel when controlling from the PC.
