Then would you be willing to confirm that the DMS sensor of the Bioloid Premium kit is a Sharp GP2Y0A21YK Infrared proximity sensor and that the graphs on your support site are pulled straight from the respective data sheet and modified without any attribution?  That the 3 pin connector on the DMS/Sharp sensor is a J.S.T S3B-PH?  That the connectors on the dynamixel servos are Molex SPOX 5267 with the 3-pin header being part number 22-03-5035 and 4-pin header being part number 22-03-5045?

Seriously, how does revealing the part number of a connector damage your business advantage?  Refusing to give out the part numbers does not hinder any potential competitors because if they are really determined to make a similar/compatible product they will still find it.  It only hurts your current and future user-base by denying them the ability to repair and/or replace damaged/defective/discontinued parts of your product line to gain even more use out of them (because they frequently are so incredibly awesome).

For the DMS (in the Premium Kit) we have used the Sharp GP2Y0A21YK.

The basic information on our e-Manual is the same but the cover has been changed for our use.

The 3P connector on the DMS Sensor is not our company product, it came attached with the GP2Y0A21YK.

We use MOLEX for our Dynamixel connectors as you presumed.

3P : 5264-03, 5267-03

4P : 5264-04, 5267-04

FYI, there are information we can’t and can open to our users.

Strange...  Because in 2008, you readily acknowledged the part number for the AX-12 molex connector and then in 2009 you denied being able to release it.  So now it's okay to release it again?  If I ask for a compatible part number for the audio connector in a few more months, will I get one?

As do most datasheets, that of the Sharp sensor contains a statement regarding reproduction and transmission in any form and by any means without express written permission by SHARP (that it is expressly forbidden).  Even if written permission were obtained from Sharp, would they really allow reproduction and modification without any attribution whatsoever?

Currently, for all replies, you’ll see the 30 marked in RED next to ROBOTIS.

In the past, we did not have this done properly, so other people used the same ID as we did.

I believe this is what caused the confusion for the misunderstanding.

As for the datasheet, the specifications on the DMS sensor are all the same.

The only change implemented was the back case to make it compatible with our products.

A hapless user requested the part numbers for the Dynamixel Molex connectors...

A representative of Robotis directed the user to pages 5~6 of the AX-12+ datasheet (the crimping process and cable polarity are on pages 5~6, but the part numbers are listed on page 36).

A helpful user then directly posted the part numbers under the Robotis handle.

In 2009...

Another hapless user requested the part numbers for the Dynamixel Molex connectors...

A representative of Robotis denied being able to release the part numbers (even after they had already been released by both a representative of Robotis and another user).

In 2011...

Out of annoyance I posted the Dynamixel Molex part numbers and asked for confirmation from Robotis.

A representative of Robotis confirmed the correctness of those posted part numbers as if the release of said part numbers was never restricted (in direct contradiction of the 2009 post by a representative of Robotis).

I am not confused, I am pissed.

As to the SHARP sensor, I understand the sensor has been modified for your purposes.  The point I have been trying to make is simply "did you acquire written permission from SHARP to use and modify the graphs from the datasheet without declaring said graphs as property of SHARP (as per the legal statement at the end of the datasheet)?"

Our apologis again for this inconvenience.

I will check with our tech guys to see which information we can release and can not release.

Also, we will try to open these information in favor of our users.

I understand how frustrating it can be from a customer's perspective.

(All information which we can release will be reflected on our e-Manual.)

As for the SHARP sensor issue, we will look into this as I am personally not a tech person.
