DEAR SIR,
THESE DAYS,MY SERVO MOTORS HAVE SOME PROBLEMS.
IT SEEMS TO GET HOT EASILY(MAYBE THE REASON OF HOT WEATHER). WE USE THE MATLAB TO CALCULATE THE ZMP TO GENERATE THE PROPER ACTIONS.HOWEVER,THE SERVOS SEEM TO GET WRONG EASILY. THEN ONE DAY,THE DISASTER CAME THAT TWO OF THE SERVO MOTORS FAILED TO COOPERATE. ONE OF THEM SENT BACK THE WRONG DATAS,WHOSE HANDSHAKE CODE WAS NOT 0XFF OF 255.ANOTHER SERVO MOTOR WORKED WRONG,TOO. BOTH CAN'T BE CONNECTED BY CM-5.
WILL THE HOT WEATHER HURT THE SERVO MOTORS A LOT? THE MOTORS HAVE TORQUE WHEN POWERED.WE USE 12VOLTS DC TO POWER THE SERVO MOTORS.WILL IT BE THE SOURCE? THANKS.
WE ARE GOING TO TAKE PART IN THE FIRA. WE ARE EAGER TO GET A REPLY FROM YOU.
HENRY HOSWEILING FROM CHINA.
Hi Henry,
Hope this reply does not get to you too late!
The hot weather can make the temperature of the motor go up a bit but not enough to affect it.
If the AX-12+ is being constantly in use and is assembled in an area where a lot of torque is required it may be the reason why it gets hot fast.
12V is reasonable so try reducing the torque for those motors that get hot fast and see if it’s the same.
If you are working in an airtight area, make sure the air is circulation enough for the motor.
For the AX-12+ that is not getting connected on the CM-5, go to Dynamixel Wizard and restore your AX-12+.
