i've bought a USB2Dynamixel to control the AX-12+, and i've succeeded to control it ,change its ID number, its speed...
but before i bought your USB2Dynamixel,i tried to use other USB-TO-TTL device to control it,and i use MFC AxtiveX Comm to program.
i found it's useless,AX-12+ can't understand the instruction i send to it!
i wonder why i can't control it without USB2Dynamixel.
is that because USB2Dynamixel is essential to control AX-12+ through PC and other USB-TO-TTL device can't take the place of it.
I use many different controller with the AX-12. As long as you send a properly formatted signal you can communicate with an AX-12 network.
AX-12 default to 1Mbps and the bus is half duplex. Most off-the-shelf USB to RS232 TTL are not half duplex and would require an external circuit.
